Austin Hatcher Foundation For Pediatric Cancer Adds New Accountant

  • Thursday, September 17, 2020

Alexandria Hickman has joined the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer as the organization’s new accountant.

Ms. Hickman is a 2011 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville and has a demonstrated history working in accounting roles. She has worked in accounting in a variety of industries and says she feels through this work she has built a firm foundation in the accounting world.

At the Austin Hatcher Foundation, she is responsible for overseeing accounts, ledgers and reporting systems.

She also processes payroll, prepares an annual budget and information for an annual audit, ensures that the foundation is complying with tax-filing requirements and maintains the donor software system.

Ms. Hickman says she is very pleased with the opportunity to continue her career with the Austin Hatcher Foundation. “This role is different from anything I’ve done in my professional life to this point,” said Ms. Hickman. “I am so excited to be able to use my collegiate background in child and family studies in a new and fun way in my role with the foundation.”

“Alex’s extensive background in the world of finance is certain to help the foundation tremendously,” said foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “I look forward to seeing her work help us grow within our community partnerships and continue our ability to expand in the years to come.”
