Baylor Swimmers Boggs, Borisov, And Unhuryan Earn USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Honors

  • Friday, September 18, 2020

USA Swimming released the roster for its 2019-2020 Scholastic All-America Team, and three Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School student-athletes were selected for this honor.

Making the Scholastic All–America team from Baylor is current sophomore Lillie Boggs, Baylor alumni Alex Borisov, and Daniel Unhuryan.  Borisov is currently a freshman swimming at Northwestern University in Illinois, while Unhuryan is swimming at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

The Scholastic All-America Team recognizes USA Swimming members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The honor is given to 9-12th grade students who maintain a minimum 3.5-grade point average and have swum an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2019 Winter Junior qualifying time in any individual event from August 16, 2019-August 31, 2020.

“It is great to have more Academic accolades for these hardworking students in our program. I’m very pleased that once again we have several members of our team selected as Scholastic All Americans,” said Baylor Head Coach Dan Flack. “We have established a tradition with the Baylor swimming program of national excellence both in the water and in the classroom, and these fine student-athletes have now added to that tradition.”
