Violet “Nanny” Blevins, 87, of Rossville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  

 

Mrs. Blevins was a lifelong resident of the Rossville area and she attended Oakwood Community Church on Highway 58.  She worked for many years as a Floral Designer for Fort Oglethorpe Florist and East Brainerd Florist.  She loved the Lord and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.  Mrs. Blevins enjoyed being a floral designer and she also enjoyed her time playing Rook with her sisters.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Blevins; son, Raymond Pritchard; parents, George and Mildred Patterson; two sisters, Wanda Patterson and Charlotte Flannigan; and grandson, Shannon Davault.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Davault and Deidra (James) Blackmon; sister, Loretta Haddock; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Lakewood South Memory Gardens with Pastor James Blackmon officiating.

 

The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, Ga.
