This year, the Chattanooga Polar Plunge, presented by Summers, Rufolo and Rodgers, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Whether participants jump, run or tiptoe in, they'll be helping build a "bigger, better, and cooler community" for the 17,000+ Special Olympics athletes. The Polar plunge has become the signature fundraising event of Special Olympics. Plunges take place all over the U.S. with 10 of those plunges taking place in Tennessee during February.
Participants will have the opportunity to plunge in person on site at Finley Stadium. Or for those not comfortable plunging in person, they may take part in the first Plunge at Home option. For those choosing this option, they may plunge at home, at school or at work by jumping in a pool, taking part in a water balloon fight, running through a sprinkler, or coming up with their own creative idea.
