Georgia Has 147 New Coronavirus Deaths; 5,430 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Thursday there have been 147 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 12,280.

There were 5,430 new cases, as that total reached 737,205 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 49,608, 361 more than Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 4,409  cases, up 40; 50 deaths, up 2; 186 hospitalizations, up 2

Chattooga County: 1,941 cases, up 11; 53 deaths; 130 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 940 cases, up 7; 8 deaths; 47 hospitalizations

Walker County: 5,014 cases, up 42; 64 deaths; 209 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 13,277 cases, up 59; 163 deaths, up 2; 643 hospitalizations, up 1
