Joan Disheroon Brooks, 89, joined her beloved husband, Clyde, in heaven on Friday, October 15, 2021. She passed peacefully at home with her family.

 

Joan was born in Chattanooga where she later met and married Clyde Brooks in 1948. They were devoted to each other for 58 years. They created an amazing, loving family and legacy. 

 

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three siblings. 

 

She is survived by her children, Connie (Mike) Martin and Gary (Sheila) Brooks, all of Harrison; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joel) Tapley, Jacy (Mike) Harris, and Brent (Tiffany) Barber; great-grandchildren, Kristen (Jonny) Reece, Mackenzie Tapley, Patrick Barber, and MJ Harris; great-great-grandchildren, Jonah Reece and Malachi Reece, as well as extended family and friends. 

 

A private, family graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
