Mary Frances Flanigan was born to parents, Erving Flanigan and Recie Mae Bailey-Thompson in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She passed away on September 28, 2021.

She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, devoted church member, mother of the church, and friend.  Ms. Flanigan had three children, Desmond Boone Flanigan (Eugene), Antoine Flanigan (Yolanda) and Latresa Flanigan. Ms. Flanigan’s brothers and sisters include Robert Flanigan (deceased), Jody Flanigan, Sandra Flanigan (deceased), John Henry “Billy” Flanigan, Willie Thompson,  and Barbara Thompson Moses. Ms. Flanigan had five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ms. Flanigan loved singing in the church’s choir. Her favorite musical artists included Aretha Franklin, Tremaine Hawkins,  and James Cleveland. Ms. Mary Flanigan enjoyed participating in community events and activities. Ms. Mary Flanigan loved the Lord and prayed constantly for others. 

She will be truly missed by all her family members, but they will be at peace in knowing she is now with the Lord Jesus Christ and is suffering no more.
