Mary Charles Ford Parker, 95, of Chattanooga passed away on June 20, 2025.

She was born on August 19, 1929, in Whiteside, Tn., to the late Charles and Clara Ford. Mary graduated from Marion County High School in 1947.

She was a member of numerous garden clubs and loved flowers. She was an avid swimmer. For those that can still remember she used to manage the East Ridge Town Hall Recreation Room.

Most importantly she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. May Mary’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, KD Parker, Jr., her son, Buddy Parker, her parents and 8 siblings.

Left behind to cherish Mary’s memory are her sons and their wives, Mike Parker (Karen) and Sam Parker (Shellie), her grandchildren, David Parker (Cheryl), Sarah Harris (Evan), Marianna Ryan (Keith), Elijah Parker (Kristie), Valerie Vanveldhuizen, Kirk Parker (Amanda) and Christian Parker (Taylor), and 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service celebrating Mary’s life will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
