The Lee Lady Flames led the region with four first team selections on the 2021 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-South Region Teams after posting an undefeated 19-0-1 season. The teams were announced on Tuesday and voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Senior Goalkeeper Jackie Burns was second in the nation and first in the Gulf South Conference in goals allowed (4) and goals against average (0.27). Senior forward Riley Henry was tied for the GSC lead in goals with 12 and led the league in points with (29).
Midfielder Lauren Weimer delivered a clutch game-winning goal in the GSC Semifinal win over West Florida and finished her senior season with seven goals and a pair of assists. Freshman defender Jordan Blair posted three goals and three assists while helping a backline that yielded the second fewest goals in the country.
Fifth-year senior Anna Lanter earned second team honors as she scored two goals and added three assists. Lanter scored a goal in the GSC Championship and was a key component in a Lee defense that allowed just six goals in 20 matches.
Bailey Tadlock of Christian Brothers University was honored as the D2CCA Women's Soccer South Region Player of the Year.
The 13 first-team honorees will now advance to the national ballot, eligible for D2CCA All-America honors. The announcement of the All-America teams will be December 7.
