Emma "Joyce" Lucille Durham, 88, of Chattanooga passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Joyce was born on June 6, 1933, in Chattanooga to the late William Henry and Bertha Mollie Hester Morgan. She was a member of  Frawley Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, East Lake Chapter. She was a homemaker and loved her family dearly.

She was preceded by her loving husband Richard E. Durham Sr.; grandson, Stephen Pursley III.

Survivors include her son, Rick (Brenda) Durham Jr.; daughters, Starr (Leon) Alexander, Kim (Andy) Thomas and Traci Beth Durham; grandchildren, April (Heath) Davis, Ashley (Jeremy) Agard and Drew (Summer) Thomas; great-grandson, Franklin Davis.

The family would like to give special thanks to Kindred Hospice and the staff of Elmcroft of Shallowford for their loving care of our mom.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Pastor Ken Wolfe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frawley Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
