Hamilton County Has 1 More COVID Death, 59 More Cases; Tennessee Has 4 More Deaths

Hamilton County had 35 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total to 44,677. There has been one more death from the virus, and the total is 496 in the county. It is reported to be a black man, age 31-40. 

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 43,651, which is 98 percent, and there are 530 active cases.

There are 40 patients hospitalized and 11 in Intensive Care Units. Five more are hospitalized with suspected cases of COVID.  Of those hospitalized, 14 are county residents. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 855,587 on Wednesday with 869 new cases. There have been four more deaths from the virus, for a total of 12,296 State Health Department officials said.

The state currently has 729 people hospitalized from the virus, which is 45 more than on Tuesday. 

Testing numbers are above 7.789 million across the state.

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 834,705, which is 98 percent.

Bradley County:  15,094 cases, up 21; 151 deaths

Grundy County: 1,793 cases; 34 deaths

Marion County: 3,127 cases, down 2; 47 deaths

Meigs County: 1,390 cases; 25 deaths

Polk County: 2,083 cases, up 2; 24 deaths

Rhea County: 4,358 cases, up 5; 75 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,710 cases, up 3; 29 deaths

Knox County: 51,049 cases, up 95; 636 deaths

Davidson County: 89,572 cases, up 73; 940 deaths

Shelby County: 96,161 cases, up 103; 1,625 deaths, up 3
