Georgia Has 8 More COVID Deaths, 1,055 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Tuesday there have been eight additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 18,632.

There are 1,055 new cases on Tuesday, as that total reaches 913,775 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Hospitalizations are at 66,097, which is an increase of 71 from Monday.

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 5,962 cases, down 4; 69 deaths; 271 hospitalizations

Chattooga County: 2,280 cases, up 2; 67 deaths; 189 hospitalizations

Dade County: 1,252 cases, up 1; 13 deaths; 62 hospitalizations

Walker County: 6,832 cases, down 4; 83 deaths; 298 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 15,079 cases, up 2; 233 deaths; 799 hospitalizations, up 1
