Milvyn Euthema Kirk Hanner
Mother Milvyn Euthema Kirk Hanner, age 92, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 with her family at her bedside.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1929 in Centre, Al. to the late Robert and Lottie Garrett Kirk. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church and was the former First Lady of Hopewell Baptist Church in Dalton, Ga.
She was preceded by her parents, two sons, Charles Nichols and Archie O. Hanner, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Vaughn; sisters and brothers.
Mother Milvyn Hanner leaves cherished loving memories to her husband of 75 years, Rev. Archie Otto Hanner, Sr.; two daughters, Lottie Farmer of Hixson, Tennessee, Milvyn Ann Canday of Atlanta, Georgia; sons, Jerry (Sheila) Hanner of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Freddie (Dorothy) Hanner of Louisville, Kentucky, Rev. James (Loris) Hanner of Rome, Georgia, Terry Hanner, and Cecil Hanner of Chattanooga, Rev. Tommy Hanner of Atlanta; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration Service will be on Friday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Ingram as Eulogist, Pastor Elder Windell Smith and other ministers officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 5, from 6-7 p.m. in Dalton.
Interment will be Monday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
