  • Wednesday, September 22, 2021

The Parkridge North ER laboratory has received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists. CAP’s accreditation program is recognized as the global leader in improving the quality of laboratory services using established performance standards, officials said.

“Parkridge North ER Laboratory continues to demonstrate leadership, innovation and a passionate commitment to standards of excellence, while providing the highest quality services for our patients,” said Tim Grant, MD, MBA, chief medical officer of Parkridge Health System. “We congratulate the Parkridge North ER laboratory team for their hard work on earning this accreditation.”

CAP accreditation is a yearlong process in which the laboratory department completes an extensive list of requirements, including an on-site peer inspection.

"The Parkridge North ER lab has become a part of an exclusive group of laboratories world-wide that have met the highest standards of excellence," officials said.

Parkridge North ER first opened in October, 2020.
