Antronette Payton Thomas
Antronette Payton Thomas, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her residence.
She was a 1984 graduate of Howard High School. Antronette was a member of Pneuma Christian Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bush, Sr.; mother, Ethel Mae Gilbert; grandmother, Doretha Billingsley; and sister, Erica Bush.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Cedric A. Thomas, Sr.; sons, Shelton Laron Copeland, Jonathan Lee Thomas, Joshua Austin Thomas, and Cedric A. (Rukiya) Thomas, Jr., all of Chattanooga; daughters, April Desha Thomas of Chattanooga, LaTonya (Heath) Bethune of Rossville, GA, and Alicia Payton of Chattanooga; brother, Antonio Payton of Hawaii; sisters, Angela Daniel, Laverne Ragsdale, Victoria Dobbins, and Kimberly Franklin, all of Chattanooga; uncles, Bobby Billingsley, John Billingsley, Faddie Billingsley, Jr., all of Chattanooga, Gregory Billingsley, Albert Billingsley, both of California, and William Payton of Georgia; aunt, Diane Cosper of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Antronette will lie in state on Monday, Jan. 17, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Burial will be on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Funeral services will follow at noon at Pneuma Christian Center with Dr. R.J. McCowan as the eulogist.
