Mocs Travel To UNC Greensboro Thursday

  • Wednesday, January 19, 2022
Currently tied atop the Southern Conference standings, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team aims to ride momentum from Saturday's big win in a four-day road trip that begins on Thursday night with a meeting inside the Greensboro Coliseum against UNCG. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Chattanooga (14-4, 4-1 SoCon) took down then league-leader Furman 71-69 inside a rowdy McKenzie Arena on Saturday afternoon in front of a nationally-televised audience. The win catapulted the Mocs over the Paladins for the top stop in the league standings before Mercer notched its third-straight win to join UTC at 4-1.

UNCG (10-7, 2-3 SoCon) looks to snap a two-game skid and add to its recent success against Chattanooga as the Spartans have won six of the last eight meetings which includes a season sweep last year.
UNCG dropped back-to-back SoCon road games last week, one at The Citadel (74-69) on Thursday and one at Mercer (58-49) on Saturday, after opening league play at 2-1.

The game at UNCG (10-7, 2-3) will be available LIVE on ESPN+ and can be accessed through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 97.7 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.
