Mocs Host Wofford On "Coaches vs Cancer' Campaign

  • Tuesday, January 25, 2022
The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team looks to remain atop the Southern Conference standings when it hosts league-foe Wofford inside McKenzie Arena on Wednesday night as part of the annual 'Coaches vs. Cancer' campaign. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
To help aid the college basketball-wide 'Coaches vs. Cancer' initiative, Chattanooga head coach Lamont Paris has committed to donate $1 for every ticket sold to the American Cancer Society. UTC has seen an average home crowd of 3,358 this season and featured a rocking crowd of 3,607 during last Saturday's win over Furman.
Chattanooga (16-4, 6-1 SoCon) is coming off a pair of hard-fought road wins last week where the team earned a 72-64 win at UNCG on Thursday and a 78-74 victory at VMI on Saturday to extend its winning streak to three. Following the two wins, UTC moved up six slots to No. 7 in the latest Mid-Major Top 25 Poll and currently sit at No. 48 in the latest NCAA NET Rankings.
Wofford (12-8, 4-4 SoCon) is winners of four of its last six games after the Mocs went into Spartanburg and came away with a 75-67 victory earlier this year on January 5. The Terriers are coming off a 75-50 loss to Furman at home on Saturday night and now sits at an even 4-4 in league play.

The game vs. Wofford (12-8, 4-4) will be available LIVE on ESPN+ and can be accessed through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 96.1 FM/100.3 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.
RADIO NOTE: WFLI added 96.1 and 100.3 FM to their arsenal of stations. The previous agreement had the Mocs on 97.7 FM and 1070 AM which was a good base of operation. Starting this weekend, 96.1 takes the place of 97.7 while 100.3 is added. The change to 96.1 adds the audio reach by roughly 100,000 homes while 100.3 expands the overall coverage further north of the Tennessee River especially strengthening the signal in Hixson and Soddy-Daisy.
Mocs Sports Network is developed by Mocs Sports Properties, the Learfield-owned multimedia rights holder for Mocs athletics. MSN broadcasts every men's and women's basketball and football game as well as "Chat with the Mocs", a weekly coach's show covering all things Mocs.
Mocs Sports Network Stations: 96.1 FM, 100.3 FM & 1070 AM.
