Hamilton County Schools Partners With Coca-Cola Bottling United

  • Thursday, October 20, 2022

Hamilton County Schools Future Ready Institutes signed an official five year partnership agreement with Coca-Cola Bottling United on Thursday, to support the Hixson High School Coca-Cola Institute of Business.

Hixson High Schools Future Ready Institute has been operating since 2018. This partnership allows for an opportunity for a unique specialization of business perspectives and continued community collaboration for HCS. The institute will empower students through student engagement, linking career aspirations, and setting and meeting goals in small learning communities to foster success in the classroom and beyond. The partnership provides a multitude of support avenues for student growth and immersion in real-world possibilities, said officials.

“Today is an exciting beginning to our 10th branded partnership in our Future Ready Institutes,” said Dr. Justin Roberston, HCS Superintendent. “Having Coca-Cola as a local community partner on this branded institute offers a unique opportunity for our students to gain valuable resources, support, and collaboration from a local Chattanooga leader for over 100 years. We look forward to seeing how this partnership deepens not only our community connections but also our students’ success.”

HCS has 30 Future Ready Institute opportunities throughout the district, which foster student achievement through specialized instruction and tailored learning opportunities. These programs allow students to develop the skills necessary to succeed after graduation while working towards their high school diplomas. The district’s continued community partnerships create avenues to provide students with skills that prepare them for future careers with these companies and more after graduation.

“Hixson High School already has a great institute, and it’s our privilege to say we want to help enhance that a little bit,” said Darren Hodges, Coca-Cola Bottling United Tennessee Valley Division director. “We’re excited about this and look forward to seeing these students and other students in Hamilton County as they go on to have further careers inside our county.”

With the partnership of another community leader, HCS strives to ensure all students thrive and experience a future without limits.
