Donald Douglas Prawd
Donald Douglas Prawd, 89, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Mr. Prawd was born in Brooklyn, NY, on Nov. 21, 1932, the son of the late Alfred William Prawd and Alice McDiarmid Prawd. He was employed at Combustion Engineering for many years in NY, Chattanooga, and Birmingham. Mr. Prawd had many hobbies in his lifetime including cooking, traveling, working on his automobiles and model trains, listening to music, and watching ballgames, Go Dodgers!
In addition to his parents, Mr. Prawd was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Schlote and his beloved dog, Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Ann Prince Prawd to whom he was married on, April 23, 1961; a daughter, Leslie Fenton; a son, Jeffrey Prawd; two grandchildren, Megan and Dylan Fenton; and his twin brother, Eugene “Gene” Prawd.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Kilbourne officiating.
Interment will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at noon (11 a.m. CST), Mountain View Cemetery in Sherwood, Tn.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 3-5 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Jeffrey Prawd, Dylan Fenton, Gregg Balladares, Marcus Higgins, David Prawd, Ray Couden, Kerry Witcher, and Mitchell Weaver.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association 5959 Shallowford Road # 211-2, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
