Gladys Elaine Scoggins Barefoot, 75, of Apison, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Mrs. Barefoot was born in Hays, KS, on March 31, 1947, the daughter of the late Leonard Scoggins and Emma Marcotte Scoggins. She was a member of McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Barefoot retired from McKee Foods after many years of service. She enjoyed going on walks and putting puzzles together. Her husband and children were her life. She was always putting others first, never met a stranger, and had a heart of gold. Mrs. Barefoot loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barefoot was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Barefoot; daughter, Cynthia Jolene Barefoot; two brothers, Guy Scoggins and Lewis Scoggins; and a sister, Vesta Scoggins.

Survivors include her son, Shane Barefoot (Tiffany); daughter, Kristi Mayberry (Jerry); two grandchildren, Carson and Ella Barefoot; two brothers, Junior Scoggins (Nelda) and Howard Scoggins (Susan); and two sisters, Laneta Dawaf and Wanda McKee. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. at Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 3:30-5 p.m. at Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
