Dr. Mark Fugate
CHI Memorial Medical Group announces the opening of CHI Memorial Vascular Surgery Specialists, a practice that provides comprehensive care for diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins and lymphatic systems throughout the body.
The practice will be led by vascular-endovascular surgeons Mark Fugate, MD, FACS, and L. Richard Sprouse, MD, FACS. Nurse practitioners Megan Fuller and Candice Heuser will also join the group.
Dr. Fugate received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.
He completed his residency in general surgery at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and a fellowship in vascular surgery at John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Dr. Fugate is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery and has practiced as a vascular surgeon since 2009.
Dr. Sprouse received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, and a fellowship in vascular surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. Dr. Sprouse is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery and has practiced as a vascular surgeon since 2004.
CHI Memorial Vascular Surgery Specialists will have four clinic locations:
• CHI Memorial Surgery Center, 2515 de Sales Ave., Suite 204 in Chattanooga;
• CHI Memorial Hospital Hixson Professional Office Building, 2051 Hamill Road, Suite 403 in Hixson;
• CHI Memorial Parkway, 4700 Battlefield Parkway, Suite 320 in Ringgold; and
• 24 Mountain View Drive, Unit B in Jasper.
