Larry Womack
Larry Dale Womack, 75, of Chattanooga, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 23, 2022.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1947, in Chattanooga. After graduating from the University of Chattanooga, he joined the United States Air Force. He had a long successful career in underwriting at Provident. He will be missed by so many for his faithfulness, steadfastness, great love for his family and his passion for God. He enjoyed listening to jazz and watching Westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dale and Aline Blevins Womack, both of Chattanooga.
Larry is remembered by the love of his life, Colleen, to whom he was married for 52 years, and his daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Greg Weaver, Mendy (Brooks) Cannon and Russ Cannon; and his eight grandchildren: Nick, Lauren, Audrey, and Lindsey Weaver, Grant and Ava Brooks, and Charlie and Evi Cannon. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Womack (Nancy), several cousins, aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at Anglican Church of the Redeemer, 104 McBrien Road. Services are at noon at the church with interment at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
