Pamela Kay Ballinger Johnson, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the family residence. Pam was born in Norfolk, Va. and she was preceded in death by her father, James Doyle Ballinger.
Pam was a 1977 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She was employed at Peytons Southeastern with more than 15 years of service. She also worked at the deli in Cooke's Food Store, with over five years of service. In her younger days she enjoyed playing church league softball. Pam cared for people and would volunteer every year to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Pam was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of God.
Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Holden (Donte Carter), Colby Johnson-Bullard (Curtis); son, Dustin Johnson, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Chance Dunn, Karalyn Holden, Shayla Bullard, Tyson Bullard, Mecalah Johnson, Khia Dodd and Kaine Dodd; mother, Leona Pence McFarland; brother, Jimmy Dewayne Ballinger, all of Cleveland; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel, with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel, who has charge of the arrangements.
