Chattanooga Women's Amateur Championship Held At Ooltewah Club

The Ooltewah Club hosted CWGA play for the annual Chattanooga Women’s Amateur Championship.

Council Fire's teams swept the City Team Play for the Gross Division.

For Flight A, the first net winner was the Signal Mountain team of Karen Burns, Candy Feher, Debbie Durham and Holly Battle, with a score of 57.  The first gross winner was the Council Fire team of Kyndall Shamblin, Amy Long, Preslee Yoder and Catie Clinard, with a score of 57.

For Flight B, the first net winner was the Windstone team of Kim Smith, Katie Young, Beth Moore and Beverly Johnson, with a score of 56.  The first gross winner was the Council Fire team of Patty Donahoo, Sandra Yoder, Darlene Werhnyak and Carlene Ryon with a score of 68.

For Flight C, the first net winner was the Creek's Bend team of Mary Jenkins, Debbie Adams, Lisa McGill and Karen Carter, with a score of 56. The first gross winner was the Council Fire team of Lisa Smith, Suzanne Sommerville, Lynn McGee and Dona Robinson, with a score of 73.

"Derek Montecalvo, director of golf, at The Ooltewah Club and staff were praised for the outstanding job, of how smooth and organized the tournament ran," officials said.


Individual play will be June 29-30.
