Minority Business Owners Roundtable Commemorates Black Business Month With Reception

The city of Chattanooga’s Department of Equity and Community Engagement is hosting a special edition of their monthly Minority Business Owners Roundtable in honor of Black Business Month, which is observed each year in August to acknowledge and support Black-owned businesses across the country.

This month’s roundtable will include a special reception for local Black business owners and entrepreneurs to build relationships while networking in a sophisticated and relaxed environment. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and creative mocktails while listening to spoken word and musical offerings from DJ Kstylz and the creative collective Black Fridays. 

This event is free and open to the public; however, registration is required. Food and beverages will be provided while supplies last. Attendees can register at cha.city/startup-scaleup. Masks are suggested and will be distributed at check in while supplies last. 

It will be held Monday from 6-8:30 p.m. at  The Bessie Smith Cultural Center, 200 E. M.L. King Blvd.
