Plans Underway To Remodel Lamar's Restaurant, Motel

  • Monday, August 8, 2022

Plans are underway to remodel Lamar's Restaurant and Motel, which closed in 2017 and suffered a damaging fire in late February.

Architect Scott Smith, of Williams Street, said Monday, "We plan to reuse it as it has been in the past."

The 0.41-acre property is on MLK Boulevard.

A lot that is southwest of the restaurant/motel is to be used for parking. Mr. Smith said that was its use in the past.

It was long operated by Lamar Patridge, who sold it recently.
