-Senior Dorota Zalewska was the Chattanooga Mocs top golfer this week at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate. She also out-shone the entire Southern Conference claiming the league’s Golfer of the Week honors.
“We are happy for Dori that she came in right where she left off,” Coach Colette Murray said. “I’m sure this is just the first of many this year. My hope is her teammates are the ones challenging her for these accolades.”
Zalewska started with a 69 and ended with the same score shooting 1-under 212 for the event.
That makes five par or better cards through six this season. Four of those are in the 60s giving her nine for her career. That’s one off the school record of 10 by Emily McLennan ’16.
She won the honor three times last season becoming one of four Mocs to win the honor three times in one campaign. Zalewska also earned two SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week honors in 2021=22.
Dori and her mates head to Franklin, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Championships. It starts Friday as the 3-day, 54-hole event tackles the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
