Thomas Jay McNabb
Thomas Jay McNabb passed away on October 28, 2023.
He was born September 24, 1980 and lived the majority of his early life in Lookout Valley.
Jay enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and graduated from Parris Island, SC in August 2000. He later went on to earn a certificate in Technical Maintenance from Chattanooga State and worked in this field for various companies throughout the United States.
Jay was best known for his outgoing personality and insatiable sense of adventure. He lived in various states across the U.S. including Alaska, Colorado, South Carolina and Nevada.
In the past several months Jay had been attending Calvary Chapel Church where it was his great pleasure to serve as a greeter on Sunday mornings.
His greatest joy in life came from his two children, Ava and Garrett and his dogs, Pete and Sam.
Jay is survived by his children, his mother, Adrin (Tom) Myers, his father, Len (Dee) McNabb, his brothers, Robby (Tina) and Randy (Johnnie) McNabb, sister, Rachel (Warner) Ashworth.
A Celebration of Jay’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Darren Dalaney officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.. He will be laid to rest in the Forest Hills Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robby, Randy. Garrett and Will McNabb, Adam Clark and Warner Ashworth.
