William Reid Williams, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on October 4, 2023 at 71 years of age.

Reid was born on July 28, 1952, to William David Williams and Emily Ann (Reid) Williams in Greensboro, N.C. After Reid graduated from Brainerd High School in Chattanooga, Tn., he went on to study engineering at Georgia Tech University. From there, he received a Master’s in Engineering Science from the University of Tennessee.

In 1976, Reid met Anne Lasley, whom he married in 1982. Together they had three children: Christopher (39), Emily (38), and Jonathan (34). Reid and Anne have six grandchildren.

Above all, Reid was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church for 33 years, where he sang in the Sanctuary Choir. He was the epitome of a family man, and constantly showered love and affection on his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Reid was a lover of music, model trains, Georgia Tech and Tennessee football, designing and building for those he loved, playing board games with his family, and studying genealogy with his bride.

Reid was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Anne; his three children, Warren Christopher of Knoxville, Tn., Emily Kathryn (Zane) Seals of White House, Tn., and Jonathan Reid (Audrey) Williams of Nashville, Tn.; and six grandchildren, Roman Seals, Éowyn Seals, Zora Seals, Thaddeus Seals, Emory Williams, and Summer Williams. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will assemble for the graveside service and interment at Grandview Cemetery Life and Legacy Trail on Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 21, visitation beginning at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 11 a.m.
