Myers Listed As Influential Leader In Georgia 500

Jeff Myers, president and CEO of Hamilton Health Care System, was recently named one of Georgia’s most influential leaders by Georgia 500 Magazine, an annual publication of Georgia Trend.

Georgia 500 is a comprehensive list of local leaders around the state who drive economic development and local investment.

Mr. Myers has been president and CEO of HHCS and Hamilton Medical Center since 2010. Mr. Myers has a passion for continual improvement, which is evident in and around the northwest Georgia region.

During his tenure, Hamilton has enlarged its footprint in the Dalton, Chatsworth, Ringgold and Calhoun areas with new construction projects for expanding healthcare services.
This includes development of comprehensive cardiovascular and open-heart surgery services, the opening of the Peeples Cancer Institute, Anna Shaw Children’s Institute, Hamilton Physician Group – Murray Campus and Hamilton Health – Catoosa Campus. Additionally, internal and family medicine residency programs began within the last few years, and a 34,000-square-foot multipurpose healthcare facility in Calhoun is nearing completion.

Prior to serving as CEO at Hamilton, Mr. Myers was CEO of HealthOne Alliance/Alliant Health Plans where he began one of the first clinically integrated networks in the state. Prior to that, he served in executive positions in consulting, managed care and hospital administration in Georgia, Florida, Texas and California.

Mr. Myers is a board member of the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, Georgia Trauma Foundation board and Vizient Southern States board (also served as past chair). He has served on the boards of Georgia Hospital Association and Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce. Myers is a member of Rotary Club.
