Dorothy “Dot” Uren, 91, of Soddy Daisy went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked tirelessly helping win others to the Lord. She was a wonderful prayer warrior, who many leaned on in time of need. She was a member of Rechoboth Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy.

Dot will be missed by her many friends, family, and church members. “She fought a good fight and finished the course.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Exie Legg; brother, Thomas Legg; husband, Frankie “Frank” Uren, and daughter, Debbie (Uren) Hixson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Darryl Burchard of Soddy Daisy; son-in-law, Robert “Junior” Hixson of Soddy-Daisy; granddaughters, Casey Hixson (Randy) Bales of Chattanooga, and Hayley Burchard (Matthew) Hoback of Soddy-Daisy; great- grandchildren, Makayla Bales and Cam Hoback.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

A special thanks to Soddy Daisy Healthcare, especially the Cypress Wing for their love and care during her stay. Also, a special thanks to Hearth Hospice for their care.
