Hamilton County Assessor Of Property Office Honored With 2022 Excellence In Operations Award

Hamilton County Assessor of Property Marty Haynes was presented the 2022 Excellence in Operations Award by Executive Director Will Denami on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers.

“The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers annually presents the Excellence in Operations Award to a single county for achieving extraordinary service and professionalism in the overall office performance. Being recognized with Excellence in Operations Award is the pinnacle of professional achievement for the leadership and the entire team of the Hamilton County Assessor’s office. Additionally, Marty Haynes leadership extends beyond Hamilton County and reaches across the state though major appeals that continue to shape the landscape in mass appraisal. Marty continues to do an outstanding job as he has previously been recognized by his peers with the Leadership Award and the East Tennessee Assessor of the Year Award,” said Executive Director Will Denami.

Hamilton County Assessor of Property Marty Haynes received the award on behalf of the office and said, “In sports they say you do not want to directly follow in the footsteps of a legend. In this case, I feel fortunate to have directly followed the late Mr. Bill Bennett and we continue to build upon the momentum he carried forward from the late Mr. Claude Ramsey. We are blessed to have so many dedicated professionals in our office and we strive every day to make sure the taxpayers of Hamilton County are treated fairly. I am personally honored that we have received the Excellence in Operations Award and I am humbled to be able to serve the citizens of Hamilton County.”

The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers (TNAAO) is a professional organization composed of the elected officials serving as Assessors of Property in Tennessee. The TNAAO's purpose is to work on behalf of the people of our great state to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes regarding the assessment of property, as well as, to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism amongst those charged with this vital task.
