The Eagles rolled by Hixson as Andrew Matukewicz led the way with 20 points. Christopher Kennedy added 14 for Signal Mountain.

The Purple Pounders ran out to a six point lead art the half and hung on as East Hamilton whittled away at that difference, only to come up short. Matthew Sharpe led the Central effort with 21 and Drew Williams hit five treys and finished with 16. The Canes’ Juan Bullard led all scorers with 24 and Ashton Munson had 16.

The Cherokees used a 21 pint performance by tucker Monroe, while Hayden Smith, Reese Frazier and Caden Hester each had 13. Bradley’s Trevor Carpenter led all scorers with 28. The Bears’ Jackson Ary had 11 and dee Reid 10.

Girls

Silverdale 49, Boyd Buchanan 39

The Lady Seahawks avenged their only district loss of the year with a strong win over Boyd Buchanan on Friday night. The win means Boyd and Silverdale finish the season as District Co-Champs  with matching 7-1 records. After an 11-10 first quarter lead for the lady Bucs led by Dani Reeves’ 8 points, Silverdale junior sharpshooter Kelsie Johnson took over and matched Reeves with eight points in the second quarter. The Lady Seahawks tightened up their defense and led 25-17 at the halftime break.  Silverdale continued to stretch their lead in the third quarter as junior Taylor Bledsoe led with seven points, and some nice defensive plays to give Silverdale a 42-30 lead with one period remaining. Johnson finished with 14 for Silverdale, while Dani Reeves led all scorers with 15 on the night, and Jada Sanders chipped in with 13 for the Lady Bucs.

The Lady Panthers picked up their third win of the week as seven players scored in a well-rounded attack. Savannah Engelbrecht of Grace scored 11 to lead all scorers.

The Bearettes continued their perfect run through District 5-4A with a romp over McMinn Co. Harmonie Ware’s 26 points led Bradley, as Kimora Fields added 18 and Avary Brewer 14.
