On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Billie Jean Leamon Stulce passed away at home surrounded by her family.

Billie was born in Ooltewah on June 8, 1936 to Fred and Bertha Leamon and was the oldest of four children. She attended Snow Hill Elementary and Ooltewah High School. She trusted Christ as her Savior at age 10. On September 1, 1955, she married Randall Stulce. She especially enjoyed their time in the military including Fort Sill, Oklahoma where their oldest daughter was born. Her “career” lasted 3 years as a Clerk Typist at Provident. Then she found her life’s calling: a full-time mom extraordinaire.

Billie was characterized by love and laughter. Her passions were cooking/baking, reading, music and enjoying her home. She babysat for almost every little one in her family and was affectionately called “Nana” or “Sissie”. When you visited her, she always had a homemade dessert for you. She served faithfully at her church (Providence Baptist) for over 65 years including singing Alto in the choir, teaching a Sunday School class and serving as Awana leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Stulce; and brother, Steve Leamon.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Roberson, Lori (Mike) Doss and Linda Graham; grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) Roberson, Jillian Graham and Ashton (Emily) Graham, Blake Doss, Brent (Megan) Doss; great-grandchildren, Kyah, Camryn, Ciera, Olivia, Luke, Lincoln and Reese; great-great grandson, Mateo; sister, Brenda “Cookie” Gill; and brother, Bobby (Susan) Leamon; and several nieces and nephews.

Heartfelt thanks to Billie’s caregivers for the last three years who will always have a special place in our hearts: Kim, Lisa, Eva, Vonda, Teresa and Sherrie.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church (8523 Providence Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363) followed by a 3 p.m. funeral service at the church with Pastor John Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at Bald Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org).

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist. 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421. Memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.chattanoogavalleyviewchapel.com.
