Priscilla “Pris” Elizabeth Banze of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the age of 69.
Born to Robert and Jane (Henderson) Conrad on April 25, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pa., she leaves behind two sons, Ryan (Suzie) Banze of Tampa and Phil (Emma) Banze of Atlanta, two grandchildren, two sisters, Becky of Columbus, Oh., and Roberta of Fort Myers, Fl., cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and former students. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Janet.

A lifelong teacher, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1974 and was a pioneer in the field of Pre-K inclusion classrooms throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Countless children began their educational journey through her steady and caring hands.

Priscilla was a volunteer, actor, singer, coach, donor, and advocate. As a Catholic, she lived by St. Augustine’s saying, “The one who sings prays twice”. She will be remembered as an outspoken and unfiltered champion for fairness and equality, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend.

A private service has been held, and per her wishes, Priscilla's ashes will be scattered on the beach, in the mountains, and with her mother in Kentucky. Donations may be made to Meals on Wheels in her memory at give.mealsonwheelsamerica.org.

Her family is being cared for by Cremation Center of Chattanooga, 1345 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
