Foundation House Ministries Hosts Spring Banquet To Benefit Pregnant Women In Crisis

  • Monday, March 27, 2023

Foundation House Ministries is the only maternity home within 150 miles for mothers exiting crisis lifestyles. The nonprofit will hold a banquet on Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, 4001 Georgetown Road NW, in Cleveland.

Executive Director Suzanne Burns will speak with guests at the event about the dire need for support these women are experiencing, especially post-COVID.

Ms. Burns says, “We’re seeing a much higher number of clients calling and they are reporting much more serious circumstances. These women require more resources, time and case management.”

Ms. Burns says the challenge lies in serving these women effectively while also being available for new clients to enter the program.

Foundation House gives financial, physical, and emotional support to women who are pregnant or mothers with infants who struggle with addiction, homelessness and need trauma-informed care. The nonprofit also works alongside the courts to lessen jail time and seek custody for their clients.
