Salvation Army Holds 2 Events To Help Provide Needs For The Homeless

  • Friday, March 31, 2023

Echelon Chattanooga, The Salvation Army’s volunteer chapter of young professionals, held its fifth annual men’s hygiene event, Bacon and Boxers on Thursday. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary also recently hosted its tenth annual Mardi Bra event for Chattanooga’s women in need.

Both events provided men and women with new undergarments, necessities and a free meal with fellowship. Additionally, Willie Jackson, a student at Chattanooga State Community College, provided haircuts and shaves at no cost for men experiencing homelessness.
