Merle Pearce
Merle C. Pearce, 83, of East Ridge went home to be with the lord on Thursday, March 2, 2023 with his family by his side at his home.
He was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and retired from Siskin Steel with 40 years of service after serving in the Marine Reserves.
Merle was a wonderful father, granddad, father-n-law and friend. He lived his life to the fullest and anyone who knew him loved him. He never met a stranger and he touched hearts to all who met him. He left behind many friends and family that will miss him dearly. He had a big heart and always a smile to share.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Theda G. Pearce and parents, Arthur and Mary.
Survivors include three sons, Gregg Pearce (Tina) of Ooltewah, Jeff Pearce (Serena) and Mark Pearce of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Jon-Michael (Kodi), Conner and Brett Pearce.
A Celebration of Merle’s life will be held graveside in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Tuesday March 7, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Ron Perry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist North Chapel, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
