Red Wolves Host USL League One Newcomer, Lexington SC

Kick Off Set For 7 p.m. At CHI Memorial Stadium

  • Saturday, April 29, 2023

After a bye week and the first road trip of the season, the Chattanooga Red Wolves return home to CHI Memorial Stadium to face USL League One newcomer, Lexington SC. The clubs previously met during the 2023 pre-season on March 4th in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw and will play two matches later in the season in Lexington on June 14th and September 23rd.

Chattanooga enters this match having won their last home game on April 8th against One Knoxville SC in a thrilling comeback victory with a final score of 2-1. The Red Wolves were less fortunate in their recent road trip to North Carolina in which they were handed their first ever loss to NCFC by
a score of 3-0, but remain eager to get back in the win column in front of the home crowd.

With Manuel Madrid returning to the lineup, Chattanooga hopes to refortify the back line while the offense gets a boost with the recent arrival of Ropapa Mensah who played his first minutes with the club in North Carolina in the second half. Christian Enriquez’s continued absence due to an ankle injury will require more production from the Red Wolves’ offense, particularly from Felipe Liborio, Jr. and Andrew Paoli.
