  • Tuesday, August 5, 2025
The East Hamilton Ministerial Association and the Samaritan Center partnered to host the annual East Hamilton Ministerial Association Prayer Lunch, serving approximately 450 teachers last Wednesday. The event took place at St. Francis of Assisi and the Little Debbie Parkway parking lot, and marked the eighth anniversary of this community tradition.

Officials said, "The drive-thru lunch, made possible by about 50 dedicated volunteers, was designed to recognize and pray for local educators as they prepare for a new school year.
The event’s mission is to offer a simple service in recognition and support to those who dedicate their lives to teaching the community's children."

Teachers and staff from the following schools received a special ticket to the event:
• Apison Elementary School
• Ooltewah High School
• East Hamilton Middle School
• Ooltewah Elementary School
• Wolftever Elementary School
• Wallace A Smith Elementary School
• Ooltewah Middle School
• Hunter Middle School
• Central High School
• Snow Hill Elementary School

Each ticket gave the educator a complete meal, which included a main entree with options of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, Pizza Hut pizza, or a vegetarian burrito from Tropical Cuisine. The lunches also included apples, chips, water and a classic Little Debbie snack.
