Nationally renowned artist Alan Shuptrine has been invited to participate in the exhibition Coastal
Treasures at the Vero Beach Museum of Art in Vero Beach, Fl.

For over 35 years, Mr. Shuptrine has honed and perfected his craft through countless hours of hands-on experience. Sought after for his expertise in the decorative arts, Mr. Shuptrine’s watercolors, oils, and gilded works can be found in private and corporate collections, museums, and historical institutions, nationwide.

With over 800 works submitted, Mr. Shuptrine’s gilded and sgraffito panel, Willow was selected for the exhibition. The exhibition is the inaugural juried exhibition of living contemporary artists being held at the museum.

On display through Sept. 3, the mission of the Vero Beach Museum of Art is to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work being generated by contemporary artists.

This is Mr. Shuptrine’s second exhibition at the VBMA as he was featured in the exhibit, In the Tradition of Wyeth: Contemporary Masters in Watercolor, where Mr. Shuptrine’s watercolors were displayed alongside works by his father Hubert Shuptrine (1936-2006) and Andrew Wyeth, along with other watercolor artists.
