WFLI, the 50,000 watt AM signal announces its new news/talk lineup led by the addition of Good Morning Chattanooga from NewsChannel 9, WTVC. On weekday mornings WFLI will simulcast Good Morning Chattanooga starting at 4:30 a.m.
The move allows morning viewers to stay with the NewsChannel 9 team as they make their way into work.
WFLI President and Co-Owner Evan Stone feels the addition of Good Morning Chattanooga helps set the station apart. “There are a lot of options in the market now, certainly more than when WFLI signed on the air in 1961, Good Morning Chattanooga offers us the opportunity to be the only radio station in the area that’s live with local news and information beginning at 4:30 each morning. Much like WFLI, NewsChannel 9 has a long and successful history in Chattanooga. We love the idea of merging the two together.”
WTVC Vice President and General Manager Todd Ricke agrees. “It’s a win, win not just for our stations and news products but also for advertisers when we can work towards broadcast opportunities that span different media.”
The simulcast launched on Monday. Stream WFLI by visiting the station's website at WFLIOnline.com.
