4th Annual RMHC Run4Kids Is Sept. 23

  • Thursday, September 21, 2023
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga’s Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence 5K run and 1-mile walk event will be held this Saturday at Chattanooga State, 4501 Amnicola Hwy. in Chattanooga.

Schedule:
- 8 a.m. – registration opens
- 8:30 a.m. – Kick off the Run4Kids event with welcome, fun news and costume contest
- 9 a.m. – Run/walk begins
- 9:30-10:30 p.m. – Party at Celebration Village

Registration for run is $25 and $15 for the walk.
Parking is free.

Organizers said, "The purpose of the event is to raise money for families at the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the third floor of Erlanger Hospital.

"In 2014, the Lawrence family named Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga as the sole beneficiary of the run event that started in 1979. In 2020, RMHC started the Run4Kids in Memory of Karen Lawrence.

"The Ronald McDonald House keeps families of critically-ill children together and allows for them to fully participate in their child’s medical care, so it is fitting that a family so dedicated to causes such as these would continue in Karen’s legacy."
