James “Dale” Clark, Sr.
James “Dale” Clark, Sr., 96, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Dale was born on April 2, 1927, to Thomas Allen Clark and Mary Ellen Nash Clark in the Pinewood Community of Hickman County, Tn. He was a 1945 graduate of Hickman County High School, working briefly in Oak Ridge, Tn., until the end of World War II. Dale returned for several years to Centerville, Tn., where he was employed by General Shoe before relocating to Chattanooga. In Chattanooga, he was employed by the DuPont Company for 27 years. Dale also became a home and rental property builder and property manager which he enjoyed very much. He was also a licensed building contractor, plumber, and electrician.
Dale was a 50+ year member of the Lake Hills Church of Christ in Chattanooga.
He was a great joy and provider to his family. Dale enjoyed a good joke, often speaking of how much he enjoyed off-road motorcycling and Jeeping. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
