William “General” Allen Lee

William “General” Allen Lee, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

He was born in Chattanooga, to the late Allen and Mary Ellen Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 yrs Theresa Lee, and his best friend, Paul Austin Levi.

General Lee was a longtime member of Grace Works Church. He worked at Southern Railway/ Norfolk Southern as an electrician for over 37 years, where he was a member of the IBEW/ LU311. He was also a volunteer firefighter in East Ridge for over 20 years. William was a member of the Masonic Lodge #755 and Alhambra Shrine. He also was a very talented leather craftsman and fishing was his absolute passion. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Paula (Frank) Lambert; the light of his life and only grandson, Gage (Isabelle) Haley; niece, Carolena “Cara” Filyaw; and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, in the chapel with Pastor Tony Leonard officiating. Burial to follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
