Chattanooga volleyball’s match against Furman, which was scheduled for Friday, October 5 in Greenville, has officially been postponed following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Announced first by Furman Athletics, there is currently no planned make up date that has been set for the match. The Paladins also postponed their Saturday match against Western Carolina for this coming weekend.
“We are disappointed we will not be able to play our match on Friday with Furman, but we send our thoughts and prayers to Furman Athletics and the rest of the Greenville community and surrounding areas as they recover from Helene,” head coach Julie Torbett Thomas said.
Updates on any rescheduled match between the Mocs and the Paladins can be found easiest on GoMocs.com, the Chattanooga volleyball schedule page, or @GoMocsVB on Twitter/X.
Saturday’s road match between Chattanooga and Mercer is still scheduled to go ahead as planned in Macon.
That match will begin at 6 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on ESPN+.
