The Chattanooga Mocs get one more opportunity in the fall. They return to the Steelwood Collegiate in Loxley, Ala., and good memories of the Steelwood Country Club.
Last year, the Mocs finished second in a duel with Alabama as the now graduate John Houk ’24 also tied for second on the player leaderboard. The squad shot three 1-under par 863s on the challenging tract.
Play starts with 36 holes on Saturday and is completed Sunday with a final 18. The starting lineup includes Camden Braidech, Garrett Engle, Braedon Wear, Carson Johnson and Ethan Whitaker.
Four of those – Braidech, Engle, Wear & Whittaker – were in the lineup last time out to grab the Qubein Cup win.
Saturday's shotgun start has the field on the course at 10:30 a.m., Eastern time. The Mocs are paired with East Carolina and LA Tech. They start on holes 11-14.
