Gaddis, Chauveau, Hawkins Earn Gulf South Runner Honors

After a strong performance at the Live in Lou Classic last weekend, the Lee University Flames have swept the weekly Gulf South Conference cross country awards. Junior Luke Gaddis earned runner of the week accolades, while Pierre Chauveau was named freshman of the week.

It is the first time since October of 2021 that the Flames have swept both awards.

Gaddis was the Flames first finisher across the line. He came in 13th place with a time of 24:10.9. Luke led the number 12 ranked Flames to a third place finish out of 28 teams in the gold race. 
 
Chauveau crossed the line in a time of 24:58.1 to finish in 68th place. 

On the women's side, for the second time this season, Aria Hawkins has been named the Gulf South Conference runner of the week. The Lee University senior helped lead the Lady Flames to an eighth place at the Live in Lou Classic last weekend.

Aria was the Lady Flames first finisher across the line. She came in 14th place with a time of 17:15.4. Aria led the number ten ranked Lady Flames to an 8th place finish out of 29 teams in the gold race.
