Looking Forward

Looking forward to January 20, 2025? Many people in Swannanoa, NC are. The Asheville Citizen Times reported on thefts taking place in a FEMA tent encampment there. What the report did was actually to call attention to residents living in FEMA tents there two months after Helene moved through North Carolina.

Illegals, however, are warmed and fed in a Crowne Plaza Hotel in Queens. This came out in testimony by a former roommate of the illegal migrant convicted of murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley (NYTimes 11/18/24) yet US citizens are living in tents in NC with temps predicted to fall into the 20s, possibly with snow.

The FEMA Director was questioned by Congress about a text message telling workers to avoid houses with Trump campaign signs. Director Criswell had to admit she hadn’t personally spoken to anyone on the text message thread (ABC 11/19/24). Criswell’s responses reminded me of earlier testimony by Ivy League college presidents and the former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle after they attracted national attention.

We survived four years of hoaxes, then voters spoke loudly on Nov. 5. Democrats should take note of this rejection which cost them more dollars than the entire GDP of The Netherlands. Now like the folks in Swannanoa, I’m looking forward to when Joe Biden wanders out of the White House.
