Patricia Louise “Pat” Gibson Wooten, 86, of Guild, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024, with her daughters by her side.

Pat was a beloved substitute teacher, craft show vendor, and community volunteer. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, caregiver and friend, Pat was the wise, strong, multitalented and kind-hearted matriarch of her family. Pat’s occupation was considered “homemaker”, however that title covered a large array of roles in order to make everyone she touched feel worthy and truly at home.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Hiram “Jack’ Wooten; her parents, Webster Daniel Gibson and Georgia Lee Gibson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Cynthia Wooten Kennemore (Malcolm) of Harrison, Tn., and Crystal Wooten Officer (Brian) of Cleveland, Tn.; grandchildren, Tyler Kennemore (Alicia Howard), Evan Officer, and Emily Officer.

The family would like to give special thanks to her compassionate personal caregiver, Tammy Dodson as well as Hearth Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. (CST) in the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Chaplain Steven Arndt officiating.

Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Cemetery in Jasper, Tn.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 4-7 p.m. (CST) and on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (CST) prior to the funeral service in the Jasper Chapel.

In honor of Pat, you are encouraged to volunteer your time to serve others as she so selflessly did, and value the precious time with your family and loved ones, sharing a word of wisdom and encouragement along the way. Donations can be made to the Patricia Wooten Memorial Fund c/o Tower Community Bank (4564 Main St., Jasper, TN 37347) so that several local causes can be honored.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper Chapel, 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, Tn., 37347, 423 942-2682.

1 John 3:18 - Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
